BIASED DIODE JATC Program Minimum Qualifications
To meet minimum qualifications for apprenticeship, applicants must:
  1. Be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  2. Be at least a high school graduate, or have a GED, or have a two-year associate degree or higher.
  3. Provide an official transcript for high school and post high school education and training. All GED records must be submitted if applicable.
  4. Submit a DD-214 to verify military training and/or experience if they are a veteran and wish to receive consideration for such training/experience.
  5. Show evidence of successful completion of:
    • One full year of high school Algebra I with a grade of C or better, or
    • One post high school Algebra I course equivalent to Math 120 with a grade of C or better.
  6. As prescribed by the JATC, have a qualifying score on the Electrical Trade's Aptitude Test.
  7. Present Evidence that they possess a valid driver's license.
  8. Prior to being indentured, applicants selected from the pool of interviewed applicants will be required to provide results of a drug test.

The recruitment, selection, employment and training of apprentices during their apprenticeship shall be without discrimination because of race, color, religion, national origin, sex or age - except that the applicant must be at least 18 years of age to apply. The JATC does not, and will not discriminate against a qualified individual with a disability because of the disability of such individual. The sponsor will take affirmative action to provide equal opportunity in apprenticeship and will operate the apprenticeship program as required under applicable law and lawful regulation issued thereunder.
